How to set up and manage your discounts

A step-by-step guide to setting up and managing staff discount and discount on bill through the Grafterr Admin Panel

Discounts are promotional price reductions offered to customers to encourage purchases, improve customer satisfaction, and increase sales. There are two primary types of discounts available in Grafterr:

  • Staff discount allows designated staff members to apply a discount to a customer’s bill during order processing. Businesses can control which staff designations are allowed to apply discounts and how much discount they can provide, ensuring better control over pricing and approvals.

  • Discount on bill is a predefined promotional discount that is automatically applied when certain conditions are met, such as a minimum bill amount or a specific validity period. These discounts are commonly used for limited-time promotions, festive offers, or marketing campaigns.

Setting up your staff discount:

To set up and manage staff discounts through the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:

  1. Start by logging in to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website using your account credentials. Once logged in, locate the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

  2. Scroll down until you find the module called “Marketing and Engagement.” Under this section, click on the sub-module “Marketing Suite.” Inside the marketing suite, locate the option “Discounts” and click on it.

  3. You will see two discount categories available:

    • Staff discount

    • Discount on bill

  4. Make sure you are on the staff discount screen. On this screen, you will be able to view any existing staff discounts that have already been created. If discounts exist, you will see details such as staff designation, discount type (percentage or amount), times used, status and action buttons such as edit and delete.

  5. You can also filter staff discounts using the available filters, such as staff designation and status (Active, Inactive, or Expired).

  6. To create a new staff discount, click the “Add staff discount” button located at the bottom of the screen. Once the add staff discount page opens, begin by selecting the staff designation that will be allowed to apply this discount.

  7. Next, enter the discount details by choosing the discount type:

    • Percentage discount, or

    • Fixed amount discount

  8. Then enter the discount value. You may also optionally specify a minimum bill amount required for the discount to be applied.

  9. Finally, select the service types to which the discount can be applied, such as eat-in, takeaway, or delivery. After completing all the fields, click “Add discount.”

  10. The newly created staff discount will now appear on the existing staff discounts page.

Setting up your discount on bill:

To set up and manage discount on bill through the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:

  1. On the “Discounts” screen, switch to the discount on bill. Here you will see any existing bill discounts that have already been created. If available, the list will show details such as promotion name, minimum bill amount, start date and end date, times used, status and action buttons such as edit and delete.

  2. You can also filter bill discounts using the available filters, including discount type (percentage or amount) and status (Active, Inactive, or Expired).

  3. To create a new discount on bill, click the “Add discount on bill” button located at the bottom of the screen. Once the add discount on bill window appears, start by entering the discount name.

  4. Next, select the discount type, either percentage, or fixed amount. Then enter the discount value, the minimum bill amount, and a short description explaining the promotion if required.

  5. After that, select the validity period by choosing the start date and end date for the discount. This determines when the promotion will be active.

  6. Finally, select the service types to which the discount should apply, such as eat-in, takeaway, or delivery. Once all fields are completed, click “Add discount.”

  7. The newly created discount on bill will now appear on the existing discounts page.
