How to manage online ordering services in Grafterr POS

A step-by-step guide to managing online ordering services in Grafterr POS

Updated over a month ago

In the Grafterr online ordering system, two primary service types are offered on both the website and mobile application - Collection and Delivery.

  • While collection works similarly to takeaway, the key difference is that customers can place an order in advance and choose a preferred pickup time instead of collecting the order immediately.

  • Delivery involves preparing the food and delivering it directly to the customer’s address.

  • Configuring these services correctly ensures customers know exactly what options are available and how long their orders may take.

Managing online ordering services in Grafterr POS allows you to quickly enable or disable online orders for the day based on your operational needs.

  • This feature gives you full control over whether your business accepts delivery and/or collection orders from your website or mobile application.

Managing delivery and collection services in Grafterr POS:

In order to manage delivery and collection services in Grafterr POS, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Grafterr POS application and log in with your credentials. Once you are logged in, you will land on the home page of the application.

  2. Scroll down to locate the “Quick actions” module and click on “Channel management”. On this screen, you will see three available channels:

    • Online orders,

    • QR orders, and

    • Third-party orders.

  3. Click on “Online orders” to manage delivery and collection services for orders coming from your website and mobile application. From here, you can enable or disable the acceptance of online orders directly in Grafterr POS.

  4. If a service type is disabled, orders from the website or mobile app will no longer be accepted through Grafterr POS, allowing you to temporarily pause online ordering without affecting other operations.

  5. You can choose to enable or disable entire service types such as delivery or collection for both platforms together, or manage each platform individually based on your preference. This gives you flexibility to keep one channel active while pausing another.

  6. In addition to enabling or disabling services, you can also edit the preparation time for each service type directly from this screen. Updating preparation times helps set accurate expectations for customers and ensures smoother kitchen operations.
