Managing tipping in Grafterr POS
In order to manage tipping in Grafterr POS, follow the steps below:
Open the Grafterr POS application and log in with your credentials. Once you are logged in, you will land on the home page of the application.
Before tipping can be used during payment, it must first be enabled from the back office. Scroll down to the “Quick actions” section and click on “Back office”.
Within the back office settings, scroll down to locate the "Tipping" option under the settings section. Click on it and enable “Standard tipping” to activate the tipping feature for your business.
If you want to guide customers with predefined tip options, you can enable “Suggested percentage”. Enter the tip percentages you would like to display as suggestions (for example, 5%, 10%, or 15%). Once the values are entered, click on “Save” at the bottom of the page and navigate back. The application will refresh automatically to apply the updated tipping settings.
Next, scroll down to the “App settings” module on the home screen and click on “Tipping”. Enable the option “Do you want to display a tipping prompt?”. Here, you will see the suggested tip percentages that were configured in the back office. Click on “Save” to confirm.
Once tipping is enabled, proceed with placing an order by selecting the items and service type as usual. On the payment page, the customer will see tipping options displayed clearly.
They can either choose one of the suggested tip percentages or enter a custom tip percentage, or even add a custom tip amount. If the customer does not wish to leave a tip, they can simply select “No tip”. After selecting the preferred option, the customer can complete the payment normally.
