Ordering in Grafterr POS is designed to be quick, flexible, and intuitive, allowing staff to take orders efficiently for different service types such as dine-in or takeaway. This guide walks you through the complete process, from starting a new order to completing payment and tracking the order status.
Placing an order in Grafterr POS:
In order to place an order in Grafterr POS, follow the steps below:
Open the Grafterr POS application and log in with your credentials. Once you are logged in, you will land on the home page of the application.
Scroll down to locate the “Quick actions” module. Under this section, click on “Start new order” to begin placing an order. Alternatively, you can directly navigate to the ordering screen by clicking on the ordering icon located at the bottom center of the screen.
On the order page, you will see the complete list of menus, categories, and items available for ordering. Each item includes an information (i) icon, which can be used to view item details.
Tap on any item to start building the order. At this stage, you will be prompted to select the service type for the order. Once a service type is selected, the application will ask for service-specific details:
For Eat-in orders, you will need to select a table and enter details such as guest count, customer name, and email address.
For Takeaway orders, you will be required to enter the customer’s name and phone number.
Fill in the required details and click "Submit" to proceed.
After submitting the service details, continue adding items to the order by tapping on the required menu items. Once all items are selected, proceed to the cart screen, where you can review the order. Here, you have the option to add kitchen instructions, update course types, modify prices, or apply discounts if required.
If needed, you can add more items by clicking on “Add more items” or by navigating back to the menu screen. You also have the option to cancel the entire order or remove individual items before proceeding to payment.
Once the order details are finalized, click on “Pay” to complete the transaction using any available payment method such as cash, card, payment link, or tap on phone.
After successful payment, click “Finish” to complete the transaction.
Note that orders that are placed without completing payment will appear under the “Pending orders” section and orders for which payment has been successfully completed will be visible in the "Order history", which can be accessed from the quick actions section on the home page.
