A happy hour deal is a time-based offer where a specific discount is applied to a selected menu or categories for a limited period during the day or over a set duration.
For example, imagine a bar that offers 50% off on all drinks during slow business hours. However, during peak times when demand is high, the same bar may reduce the discount or even increase the prices.
Adding a happy hour deal through the Grafterr POS application:
In order to add a happy hour deal through the Grafterr POS application, follow the steps below:
Open the Grafterr POS application and log in with your credentials. Once you are logged in, you will land on the home page of the application.
Scroll down to locate the module called “Menu management”. Under this module, click on “Add/Edit menu”. Here, you will see a list of all your existing menus, along with their categories, items, and prices.
At the bottom of the screen, find and tap on “More options”. Under more options, in the “Deals” section, click on “Happy hours”. You will now be redirected to the happy hour deals page, where all existing happy hour deals are listed along with their status, availability and options to edit or delete them. You can also use filters at the top of the screen (by active or inactive status) to search for deals.
To create a new happy hour deal, tap on the “Add happy hour” button at the bottom of the screen.
Enter the happy hour title (e.g., “Weekend happy hours,” “Midday Meals,” etc.). Then we have deal availability. Choose when the offer would be available. Pick "From Date" and “To Date” and you can also set particular day and time of the week when the offer should work. You can also add “Multiple Ordering Hours” by clicking on “Add new time”.
Building happy hour offer setting - To define what menus/categories/item go into your happy hour structure:
Tap on "Create a new offer" and start by searching the menu/categorie/item that you want to add to the offer. You can add whole menus (like "Food Menu") or specific categories (like "Desserts") as well.
Use the "Select Value Change" option to increase or decrease the value of the offer.
Next select whether the offer applies to a fixed amount discount or a percentage discount.
After adding the percentage or amount value, click on “Add”.
Finally choose which services this deal applies to - for example, whether it’s available only for eat-in, takeaway, or delivery. Click on "Submit" once done.
And once all the details are entered and reviewed: Click on “Add” to save the happy hour deal. The newly created happy hour deal will now appear in your list of active deals.
If you need to modify an existing deal, simply click the “Edit” icon beside it. To deactivate a deal, tap on the “Active” toggle - this will mark the deal as inactive.
You can also use the “Show in Deals” toggle to decide whether this happy hour deal should appear in the online ordering section under “Deals.”
