Understanding your sales dashboard

A step-by-step guide to understand your sales dashboard in the Grafterr Admin Panel

The sales dashboard in the Grafterr Admin Panel provides a quick, visual overview of your business performance. It allows you to track sales trends, compare time periods, analyse order activity, and understand which items or services contribute most to your revenue. In short, the dashboard acts as your central hub for monitoring the health of your business in real time.

Understanding the sales dashboard:

In order to explore and understand the sales dashboard,

  1. Login to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website. Once you are logged into the Admin Panel, look at the menu on the left side of the screen to find "Home". Under this section, click on “Dashboard”.

  2. At the top of the dashboard, you will find your sales details section. Here, you can choose a time period - such as today, yesterday, last week, or last month, and the system will automatically update the data displayed.

  3. The dashboard presents a graphical chart that shows your sales based on the selected time frame and total transaction amounts, making it easy to understand patterns, busy periods, or any dips in sales.

  4. Below the chart, you will see a breakdown of key financial and operational figures such as "Gross sales, Net sales, Refunds, Tips, Tax amount, Order Count, and Voids etc". These numbers adjust according to the date filter you select, giving you complete control over what timeframe you want to analyse.

  5. Scrolling further, the dashboard provides additional insights such as sales distribution across different menus or charges, helping you see which categories bring in the most revenue.

  6. You will also find a comparison of sales made through different applications - such as POS, Self-Serve Kiosk, or Web - allowing you to understand which platform your customers prefer. In addition, you can view service-wise sales, including eat-in, takeaway, delivery, or others depending on your setup.

  7. Finally, the dashboard highlights your top 10 best-selling items", giving you a clear idea of which products are performing well. This allows you to make informed decisions on inventory planning, menu promotion, and pricing strategy.

Understanding Logged-In Operators:

Logged-in operators displays a list of all operators who are currently signed in to the operator application.

  • It provides key details such as the staff name, the application they are logged into, device code, IP address, login timestamp, duration since login, and an available action to force logout.

This feature is primarily used by managers for real-time monitoring of active users in the system. It helps ensure visibility into who is currently logged in and working.

  • In some cases, due to internal or external issues, a staff member may forget to properly end their shift before closing the application. When this happens, the system may still consider them as logged in. If the same staff member attempts to log in again later using their passcode, they will receive an “Already logged in” error message.

To resolve this, the staff must access the Admin Panel and use the dashboard to manually force logout the user. Once this is done, the staff member will be able to log in again normally.

Altogether, the dashboard offers a simple yet powerful overview of your business performance, helping you make data-driven decisions with ease.

That’s it! You have now successfully learnt about the sales dashboard in the Grafterr Admin Panel. If you face any issues along the way, feel free to reach out to our support team.
