How to view and manage your menu sales report

A step-by-step guide to viewing, understanding and managing your menu sales report within the Grafterr Admin Panel

The menu sales report gives you a clear breakdown of how each menu is performing in your business. It highlights which menus are selling the most, their revenue contribution, and overall performance patterns. This helps you make informed decisions such as promoting high-performing dishes and optimising your menu.


Note that this report is exclusively dedicated to menu sales.

Navigating through menu sales report:

In order to view and manage your menu sales report within the Admin Panel, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website. Once you are logged into the Admin Panel, look at the menu on the left side of the screen to find "Home".

  2. Under this section, click on "Reports", where you will find the complete list of reports available within the Grafterr ecosystem. Locate "Menu sales" under the "Sales reports" category and click on it to access the report.

  3. By default, the system shows yesterday’s menu sales data when you open this report. You can always switch to today’s data or look at past performance by using the available filters.

  4. Before moving forward, let’s quickly understand the key columns displayed in this report.

    • Name - Shows the specific menu being analysed

    • Gross sales - Total sales for that menu before deductions

    • Net sales – Revenue after excluding discounts and taxes

    • Taxes – Total tax generated from that menu

    • Quantity – Number of times the menu was sold

    • Orders – Number of orders that included that menu

    • % of sales – The percentage contribution of the menu to overall sales

  5. You can also view category wise and item wise sales data as well by clicking on the down arrow.

  6. Moving on, on the top right corner of the report, you will find 2 options - "Export" and "Filter".

  7. By clicking on "Export",

    • You can view the complete list of columns available in the report. You can choose to enable or disable any columns before exporting. The report can be exported as PDF or XLS file, and you also have the option to email the report directly by simply entering the email address and the system will send it instantly.

  8. Lastly, click on "Filters" to apply customised criteria to your report. There are four types of filters available:

    • Group By - This report supports only a total view format.

    • Date - Filter data for today, yesterday, this week, last month, or a custom date range.

    • Order Type - View sales based specifically on order types such as eat-in, takeaway, delivery, etc.

    • Order Source - Filter menu sales from POS, website, mobile app, or other ordering channels.

  9. Select the filters you want and click on "Apply", and the report will update instantly based on your selections.
