Standard measurements allow you to define customised units such as grams, kilograms, litres and millilitres that automatically calculate the corresponding price during order entry. These measurements are particularly useful for businesses that sell items based on quantity or volume - for example, 1 kilogram of rice, or 1.5 litres of milk, etc.
Utilising standard measurements in the Grafterr POS application:
In order to assign customised measurements through the Grafterr POS application, follow the steps below:
Open the Grafterr POS application and log in with your credentials. Once you are logged in, you will land on the home page of the application.
Scroll down to locate the module called “Menu management”. Under this module, click on “Standard measurement”.
You will find two options on this screen - “Kilograms (Kgs)” and “Litres (Ltrs)”. These categories represent the two types of measurement systems you can configure for your menu items.
To begin, click on either kilograms or litres. When you toggle the option ON, additional fields will appear allowing you to enter customised measurement values.
You can add up to 9 customised measurements, such as 100g, 250g, 500g, or 1L, 1.5L, 2L, etc., depending on your business requirements.
After entering all your customised measurements, click on “Add” to save them. The same process applies for both kilograms and litres as well.
These measurements will automatically pop-up as custom measurements while creating an item and calculate prices based on the quantity.
