Open the Grafterr POS application and log in with your credentials. Once you are logged in, you will land on the home page of the application.

Scroll down to locate the module called “Menu management”. Under this module, click on “Add/Edit menu”. Here, you will see a list of all your existing categories, items, and prices.

To create a new category, tap on the “+ Category” button located at the left corner of the screen. After clicking on ‘+ Category’, tap on “Advance settings”.

Start by uploading an image for the category through gallery or camera. Enter the category name (e.g., Starters, Beverages etc). Then select the menu that category belongs to and specify the type of course (Sequence of preparation & serving).

Also enter a category display order number. This helps in sorting categories in the sequence you prefer.

Lastly you have the availability settings - Choose if that category should be available on all days, or only on specific days (from a particular start date to an end date, and from specific start time to end time).

Next, you will find the tax settings section. Tap on it, enable the applicable tax option, and click on submit to save your selection. Finally, you will see the colour code option - tap on it and choose a colour to visually represent the category.

Once you have entered the details and configured availability, click on “Submit”, and then “Done” to save. The newly created category will now appear in your list of categories on the screen.

If you ever need to make changes to an existing category, you can simply click on the “Edit” option beside the category name to update details, images, or availability settings.
