Service types refer to the different ways customers can place or receive their orders. Currently, there are four main service types - Eat In, Takeaway, Collection, and Delivery. Each service type supports a specific ordering method. Through the service types settings, you can enable or disable any service and choose a default option to ensure a smooth ordering experience.
Managing your service types:
In order to manage your service types through the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:
Login to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website. Once you are logged into the Admin Panel, look at the menu on the left side of the screen. Scroll down until you find the option called “Mandatory Settings”.
Under this section, you’ll see an option called “Services”. Click on it to open the services page.
This is where you can turn on or off the different service types your business offers, such as “Eat-in, Takeaway, or Delivery etc”. You can change these settings at any time based on how your business operates.
Simply look at the list of available service types and turn on the ones you are operating on. Keep the other options turned off if you don’t use them.
Once you’ve made your selections, click “Next” to move to the “Default Service Type” page.
On this page, you have the option to choose a default service type for your business. This means that whenever you process an order, it will automatically get assigned to that service type.
If you want to set one, just select it from the list. If not, you can choose “None” and continue by clicking “Submit.”
Note that setting a default service type is helpful if your business mostly serves a specific type of order. For example, if most of your customers are eat-in guests or if you only provide takeaway service, setting that as the default can save time and reduce confusion for both your staff and your customers.
Refreshing the Operator application and testing the changes:
The final step is to refresh your operator application to see the updates working.
Open the Grafterr Operator Application, go to the “Extras”, and scroll down to find "Refresh App."
Once refreshed, click on “New Order” on the top left to check if the services you selected are showing correctly in the application.
If you have set a default service type, you can simply click on any item, and the system will automatically apply the default service type to the order.
