How to enable customer receipt email alert pop-up

A step-by-step guide to enabling the customer receipt email alert pop-up through the Grafterr Admin Panel

The customer receipt email alert is a pop-up that appears on the payment screen, prompting customers to enter their email address if they wish to receive their order receipt via email.

Enabling customer receipt email alert:

In order to enable and manage this option through the Admin Panel, follow the below steps:

  1. Log in to your Grafterr Admin Panel. Once logged in, scroll down and select “Advanced Settings”. Under advanced settings, click on “Default settings”.

  2. Scroll down to find the “Customer receipt email alert” toggle.

    • If this toggle is enabled, the system will display the email receipt pop-up on the payment screen.

    • If it is disabled, no such pop-up will appear, and the operator will simply complete the transaction without prompting for a customer email address.

  3. Once the feature is enabled in the Admin Panel, you can see how it works in the Operator application. Log in to the Grafterr Operator application, refresh and place an order under any service type (Eat-In, Takeaway, or Delivery), and proceed to the payment screen by clicking on “Pay.”

  4. Proceed to complete the payment either through cash or card, and then click on "Finish".

  5. As soon as you finish the transaction, a pop-up will appear asking the customer to enter their email address in order to receive the receipt electronically.

  6. Along with this, the pop-up also provides two additional consent options for the customer.

    • The first allows the customer to choose whether their details can be stored to enhance service, while the second asks for permission to use their contact details for marketing purposes.

    • Customers can select “Yes” or “No” for each of these options before proceeding.

  7. Once the details are submitted, the customer will immediately receive the e-receipt in their email inbox.
