How to manage offline service area DNB restrictions

A step-by-step guide to managing offline service area DNB restrictions through the Grafterr Admin Panel

Offline Service Area DNB (Do Not Book) restrictions allow businesses to temporarily block specific serving areas or tables from being used for offline reservations. This is useful when certain sections of the restaurant are unavailable due to maintenance, cleaning, private events, renovations, staff shortages, or any other operational reasons.

Managing offline service area DNB restrictions:

In order to set up and manage offline service area DNB restrictions through the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:

  1. Start by logging in to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website using your credentials. Once logged in, navigate to the left-hand menu, scroll down to the “Table Management” section, and click on “Reservation settings.”

  2. Within this section, scroll down to “General settings” and select “Offline service area DNB restrictions.”

  3. Once you enter the offline service area DNB settings page, begin by selecting the service area that you want to restrict from offline bookings. Use the dropdown menu to choose the required serving area.

  4. Next, choose whether you want to apply the restriction to all tables within that serving area or only to specific tables. If you want to restrict selected tables only, use the Table ID dropdown to choose the individual tables.

  5. After selecting the tables, define the restriction period by entering the start date and start time, followed by the end date and end time.

  6. You can then enter the DNB information or reason for the restriction. This helps staff understand why the area has been blocked. Examples may include cleaning and maintenance, private event booking, renovation work etc.

  7. Once all the details are configured, click on “Add DNB.” The selected service area or tables will now be restricted from offline reservations during the specified period.

  8. All configured restrictions will appear in the “Saved DNB” section, where you can view the service area, table details, restriction timings, and reason provided. You also have the option to edit or delete existing DNB restrictions whenever required.
