How to connect your receipt printer through bluetooth in Grafterr POS

A step-by-step guide to connecting your customer receipt printer through bluetooth in Grafterr POS

Updated over a month ago

Connecting a receipt printer allows you to print customer receipts instantly after every transaction.

  • Customer receipts in Grafterr POS can be printed using three types of connectivity options: Bluetooth, USB, and LAN.

  • In this guide, we will focus specifically on connecting a receipt printer using Bluetooth, which is commonly used for handheld POS devies.

Connecting a receipt printer in Grafterr POS:

In order to connect your receipt printer through bluetooth in Grafterr POS, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Grafterr POS application and log in with your credentials. Once you are logged in, you will land on the home page of the application.

  2. Scroll down to locate the “App settings” module and click on “Printer/KDS configurations”. Inside this section, select “Receipt printer” to begin the setup process.

  3. Before proceeding, make sure that:

    • Your receipt printer is powered ON. For reference, in this guide we are using a "Naiting receipt printer (Model: NT-POS80-BS)".

    • Bluetooth is enabled on the POS device

  4. Now, click on “Scan for printers”. Select the printer roll size based on your hardware (either 58 mm or 80 mm), then choose the connectivity type as Bluetooth.

  5. The application will start scanning and display all nearby bluetooth-enabled printers. Check the model name on the back of your printer to identify it correctly.

  6. From the list of available devices, select the matching printer name and click “Connect”. Wait a few seconds while the printer establishes a successful connection.

  7. Once connected, click on “Test print” to confirm that the printer is working correctly. If the connection is successful, a test receipt will be printed.

  8. Next, click on “Next” to configure printing preferences. Here, you can:

    • Set the number of receipt copies (up to 3 copies)

    • Use the default receipt template (Please note that receipt templates can be customised later from the Receipt Template Settings, which will be covered in a separate guide)

  9. After completing the setup, click the back arrow to return to the printer configuration screen, then go back again to the home screen. The application will automatically refresh and apply the updated printer settings.

  10. To ensure everything is working as expected, you can place a test order and complete a transaction to see whether the receipt is printing correctly.
