How to manage collection and delivery time slots for online ordering

A step-by-step guide to manage collection and delivery time slots for online ordering through the Grafterr Admin Panel

Updated over a month ago

Time slots (Online) allow you to control when customers can place collection or delivery orders on your website and mobile application. These slots help manage kitchen load, reduce rush during peak hours, and ensure that your business accepts only as many orders as it can handle efficiently.

Managing collection and delivery time slots:

In order to manage collection and delivery time slots through the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website. And once you are logged in, look at the menu on the left side of your screen. Scroll down to locate the “Channels” section and click on “Online (Web & Mobile apps)”.

  2. Here, you will find all settings related to your website, mobile application, and even QR Ordering. Scroll down to find “Time slots” and click on "Edit". You will now see two separate sections - "Collection slots" and "Delivery slots" - each of which can be set up independently.

  3. In the collection slots section, you will first find the option “Do you want to auto-generate slots?”.

    • Turning this ON allows the system to automatically generate time slots based on the details you provide. If you switch this OFF, you will have to create each slot manually as per your requirement.

  4. Next, enter "How many orders would you like to accept per time slot". This number helps limit the order load within each time window.

  5. Then, choose the days of the week when these slots should apply. You can select or deselect days depending on when your business accepts online orders.

  6. If you are using auto-generation, you will also find the option to set the time gap between slots - for example, a 10-minute, 15-minute, or 30-minute gap between each slot. (This option will not appear if you are creating the slots manually.)

  7. Finally, enter the "From time" and "To time" for the operating window of the slots. After entering all the details, click "Save" to generate the collection slots. The system will create all slots below, where you can view, edit, or delete them at any time.

The same process applies to delivery slots as well. Once you configure both collection and delivery slots, you can visit your website to confirm that the changes are displaying correctly for customers.

That’s it! You have now successfully learnt how to manage collection and delivery time slots through the Grafterr Admin Panel. If you face any issues along the way, feel free to reach out to our support team.
