How to update ordering hours for your website and mobile application

A step-by-step guide to updating the ordering hours for your website and mobile application through the Grafterr Admin Panel.

Updated over a month ago

The website and mobile application's ordering hours section in the Grafterr Admin Panel allows you to define the exact days and times when customers can place orders through your online platforms.

  • It is important to note that these ordering hours apply only to the website and mobile apps. If you want to set or modify ordering hours for QR Ordering, that must be configured separately within the QR Ordering module.

Updating ordering hours (Web&Mob):

In order to update the ordering hours for your website and mobile application through the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website. And once you are logged in, look at the menu on the left side of your screen. Scroll down to locate the “Channels” section and click on “Online (Web & Mobile apps)”. Here, you will find all settings related to your website, mobile application, and even QR Ordering.

  2. From the list of settings, locate "Ordering hours" and click on the "Selected" button to begin making changes.

  3. The first setting you will see is "Last Order Minutes", which determines how close to closing time a customer is allowed to place an order. This acts as a buffer for your kitchen or staff to complete the final orders before shutting down operations.

    • For example, if your ordering hours are from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and you set Last Order Minutes to 30 minutes, the system will stop accepting orders at 4:30 PM. This ensures you have sufficient time to prepare and complete all pending orders before the official end time.

  4. Below this, you can set the actual ordering hours for the website and mobile application. You can choose the specific days your business accepts online orders and define the exact time range for each day.

    • If your business follows split shifts or multiple ordering windows in a day, you can click on "Add More Timings" to set additional time slots. The system gives you the flexibility to disable certain days entirely if your business is closed or does not accept online orders on those days.

  5. Once all adjustments are made, click on "Update" to save the changes. After saving, your customers will see the updated ordering schedule reflected immediately on the website and mobile application.

Out of hours message:

  • Just below the ordering hours section, find "Out of hours message" which is basically, a message that will appear when a customer attempts to place an order outside of your opening hours.

That’s it! You have now successfully learnt how to update ordering hours for your website and mobile application through the Grafterr Admin Panel. If you face any issues along the way, feel free to reach out to our support team.
