The multi-operator mode and auto logoff features are designed to ensure smooth operations when multiple staff members are using the same device (such as a tablet) to take orders.
Multi-operator mode allows more than one operator to temporarily log in and use the application on a shared device.
Auto logoff automatically logs out the current operator once an order is placed, ensuring that the next operator can securely log in using their temporary credentials.
Enabling multi operator mode and auto logoff through Admin Panel:
In order to enable both the options, follow the steps below:
Log in to your Grafterr Admin Panel. Scroll down and select “Advanced Settings”. Under advanced settings, click on “Default Settings”. Then scroll down again to find the "Multi-operator mode" and "Auto logoff" toggles.
Enable both toggles to activate these options.
Once the modes are enabled, you need to create a temporary passcode for each operator.
A permanent passcode is a standard code created for an operator to log in to the Operator application on a regular basis, providing full access for all routine tasks. In contrast, a temporary passcode is used only when the system is in multi-operator mode, allowing multiple operators to log in to the application specifically to process orders. In the Admin Panel, go to the “Users (Permissions)” module. Select the user (operator) you want to set up a temporary passcode.
Click on “Edit” and scroll down to find the option for "Temporary passcode" creation. Create a temporary passcode for the operator and save the changes.
That’s it. Now go to the Operator application to see both options working.
Working of multi operator mode and auto logoff (Operator application):
In order to look into the working of both options in the Operator application, follow the below steps:
Login to the Grafterr Operator Application. Once logged in, Refresh the application as it’s crucial for the changes to take place on the application.
Place an order as usual. After the order is placed, the system will automatically log off because we have enabled "Auto logoff". Also observe that the user (operator) is Fareen Begum.
After auto logoff, you will see two primary login options:
Login (Temporary Passcode): Other operators can temporarily login using the temporary passcodes created in the Admin Panel.
Operator Login: Login using the main operator credentials.
Re-login using the temporary passcode of another operator and observe that the main operator remains Fareen Begum, but the user has changed to another operator.
Place an order and the same process follows. You can also manually logoff from the operator application using the “Logoff” option.
That’s it! You have successfully learned how to manage multi operator mode and auto logoff features through the Grafterr Admin Panel and Operator application. If you face any issues along the way, feel free to reach out to our support team.
