Item numbering helps organise your menu items and makes it easier for both staff and customers to identify food items. Every item in your menu can be assigned a specific number, which not only keeps your menu sorted in a proper order but also works as a quick identifier in case someone finds it difficult to pronounce the item’s name.
Assigning item numbers via the Admin Panel:
In order to assign item numbers to items via the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:
Log in to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website. Once logged in, scroll down and select “Menu Management”. Under menu management, click on “Menu Configuration”. You'll see all your existing menus, categories, and food items.
Item numbering is managed at the item level, which means you can add it either while creating a new item or by editing an existing one.
To edit, click on the item and then select the “Edit” option. Then, click on “Advanced”.
Now scroll down until you find the “Others” section. Within this section, you will see a box for “Item Numbering”. This is where you can assign a unique number to that particular item.
After entering the number, click on “Update Item”, and the number will now be linked to that food item in your menu.
Once the numbers are set in the Admin Panel, the next step is to display them on the Operator application.
Enabling item number display in Operator application:
In order to enable the item numbers in the Operator application, follow the below steps:
Login to the Grafterr Operator application. Once you’re logged in, “Refresh” the application as it’s crucial for the changes to take place on the application.
Navigate to “Extras”, then go to “Settings” at the bottom. As you scroll down, you will find an option called “Display Numbers”.
By default, this option is usually set to “No”, which means the numbers will not appear on the items.
Change the option to “Yes”, and go back. You will notice that all food items in your Operator application now display their assigned numbers and are sorted accordingly.
