The “Manage Collection Application Order Status” option allows staff to update the status of an order on the collection application, from cooking mode to ready mode, directly from the Operator application itself.
Think of scenarios like a takeaway outlet or a restaurant where the kitchen may finish preparing an order, but unless the status is updated on the collection screen, the customer may not know it is ready.
By allowing the staff to change the status to order ready from the Operator application itself, the collection application is updated instantly.
Managing collection application order status:
In order to manage the collection application order status option within the Grafterr Operator application, follow the steps below:
Log in to the Grafterr Operator application. From the main screen, navigate to “Extras” at the bottom left. Scroll down and select “Settings”.
Scroll down to find the option “Manage Collection Application Order Status”.
By default, this option will be set to “No”. When it is disabled, if you go to the orders tab, you will only see two actions available for an order - “Pay” and “Add More”. And in the transactions tab, there is no option of status change.
However, once you set the option to “Yes”, an additional action will appear in the orders tab - “Order Ready”.
With this, staff can directly update the collection application status of an order from cooking to order ready from the Operator application itself.
The additional action button will be visible in both the orders tab as well as the transactions tab.
The moment this update is made, the status in the collection application also changes, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Once the order is updated from the Operator application either through orders tab/ transaction tab, the order status will be updated in the collection application as well.
