A modifier is an add-on option that can be applied to a menu item. Modifiers help personalize customer orders based on their preferences. For example, if the menu item is a pizza, the modifiers could include options such as extra cheese, no onions, add mushrooms, or extra spicy.
Adding an item modifier:
In order to add an item modifier through the Grafterr Admin Panel, follow the steps below:
Start by logging in to your Grafterr Admin Panel through the Grafterr website using your credentials. Once logged in, navigate to the left-hand menu, scroll down to the “Menu Management” module, and click on “Menu Configuration.”
Once you open the menu configuration section, you will be able to view all existing menus, categories, items, prices, actions, and deals configured in the system.
To create a modifier, click on “+ Create modifier” under the “Actions” section located at the top right corner of the screen. Once selected, enter the required modifier details, including:
Modifier name
Short name (if applicable)
Sort order
Product code
Upload an image for the modifier
Modifier category under which the modifier should be grouped
If the required modifier category does not already exist, you can create a new one by clicking on “Add.” Enter the modifier category name and save it.
Next, configure the pricing for the modifier under the Pricing section. If you want to apply global pricing based on size, click on the “Global Size” option below.
Global pricing is commonly used for standard size-based options that are recognized universally, such as inches, portions, or size variations.
Please note that modifiers should only be created under Global Pricing if the items they are linked to are also created using Global Pricing. If the item follows regular pricing, the modifiers should also use regular pricing.
Next, you will find the “Modifier Details” section, where you can configure additional information such as:
Allergens – Select any allergens associated with the modifier, such as dairy, gluten, nuts, etc.
Short description – Add a brief explanation about the modifier.
Ingredients – Mention ingredients included in the modifier.
Calorie information – Add calorie details associated with the modifier, if required.
Finally, configure the tax settings for the modifier. Enable the “Taxable” option if tax is applicable to the modifier. If the modifier falls under zero tax, you can configure it accordingly.
Once all the required details are entered, click on “Add Modifier.” The modifier will now be successfully created and available to link with menu items.
That’s it! You have successfully learned how to add an item modifier through the Grafterr Admin Panel. If you face any issues along the way, feel free to reach out to our support team.
